ooh. didn’t know there wasn’t a bob ong after all.

hahaa! and i pictured bob ong as a chinoy in his 30s who loves walking around in a white shirt, khaki knee-length shorts, and sandals. the typisch guy who cracks jokes in gatherings or one who loves to solve puzzles or show tricks to children.

it turns out bob ong might not be the bob ong i imagine to be! read this article!

bob ong on inq7

i am not a big fan of him. i own a copy of Ang Libro Ni Hudas but that’s the only piece of shite i read from him.. his jokey recollection of events may give one a chuckle or two; however, the rest of his writings lean towards the lackluster side of comedy. the adlibs — conversations between the Devil and the soul — though, are funny funny. just what if Donita Rose really becomes the Pope in the future? lol.

i love what "Bob" "said" (emailed to the author) in the article though:

“Of course, you also do wonder at times how it feels to be a rock star. But I look at fame and success as Frodo’s ring, it’s not for everyone.”

sa mga trying hard diyan, better luck than neberr. hahaa.

n.b. i just thought. what if this "bob ong" is in reality a girl writer or a group of writers?

no more “v-neat d milke twalay”’s (hopefully!)

you guys should remember me posting a "keys me" bulletin a few weeks back, don’t you? well, funny, coz i saw that girl featured on a television show today (wiz ko lang). didn’t know who that wreck was until i read threads about her equally-wrecked video. she’s alyssa alano, some viva hotbabe. and mann, regal shocker babe must suit her better. lol.

to alyssa, or jenny, the widespread advertisement of "keys me" was actually a blessing in disguise. showbiz has paid more attention to her since then and she earned an "internet diva" title. (i knew it was going to earn her points after all. blech!)

yet as the wiz ko lang show progressed, it showed how alyssa made the clamor to the erroneous rendition of the song a reason to go on speech training and voice lessons (also). the pinoy-australian from zamboanga who sounded like she got a distorter in her larynx might someday, soon, become a good singer with improved diction.

as the show segment was drawing to a close, i thought..

        (jo9 with matching far-away look)

"the story of alyssa is actually a brilliant anecdote of how somebody ridiculed gained the courage to face her blunder and with candor tried to do something about it."

congratulations to this brave soul!

as for the rest of the pinoy entertainers with related predicaments, do something about the funny diction. practice well on the lyrics before going onstage. there are a lot of websites that showcase lyrics, after all. one is the famous www.lyrics.com. there’s no harm in trying to sound right. it’s not being burgis (bourgeoisie) or so. oh, unless if you really are spoofing something and you do want to sound ridiculous, that would be additional entertainment for us.
